Our Fall harvest continues in abundance. We're in the 9th week of our Fall CSA season, which followed the 12 week Spring and 10 week Summer season. 31 weeks of continual garden harvest and deliveries with 3 more weeks to go! We're so grateful for all our CSA members who have participated this year.
During the summer we added options for eggs and grass fed beef to be delivered weekly with CSA shares. Almost every CSA member has taken advantage of these extras, allowing us to sell out of available eggs and ground beef through the CSA season.
We're already planning and preparing for 2016. Field work and planting are already underway. Compost has been added, cover crops planted, deer fencing installed, and strawberries planted. Though our CSA harvest ends soon, work continues year round so we can provide consistently for our members next Spring. Later this year, we'll update our plans for 2016 and let you know how you can reserve weekly shares of produce, eggs, and beef for next year. We don't anticipate a lot of changes but will get all the details ready and let you know.
Our abundant Fall harvest has given us extra produce for supplying a couple of Austin area raw milk co-ops, the Elgin Community Cupboard, and a new restaurant. Svante's Restaurant recently opened in historic downtown Round Rock. We're pleased to partner with them, delivering weekly produce and eggs. Check out the link below for more details, then drop by for lunch or dinner.
Thanks again for your support and interest in our farm. Remember we update our website and Facebook page regularly throughout the week, so drop by those when you can. Reply if we can help you in any way and we'll get right back to you.
Have a great Fall and Thanksgiving season!
