February News - Spring Time!

Garden Sprouting and the First Calf is Here

Starting to feel like springtime here on the farm. This week the year's first calf was born (barely 30 minutes old in the photo).  The garden is sprouting and all early seedlings have been transplanted. We've also seen our first asparagus shoots.  The fruit trees have not budded yet but it won't be long.  We've seeded our second set of transplants - the tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant we'll transplant in late March.

Thanks for those who have already joined our CSA for 2016 .  We've extended the 'early bird' discount through February 26.  That is National CSA Day.  Since we're offering discounts to celebrate this special day, we decided to just continue our best discounts from now until then.  CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture" and our community of members who support us now are the foundation of the bounty every member will enjoy all year.   We'd love to share our all natural, pesticide free, non-GMO, organically grown harvest with more of you.

We're delivering to homes throughout the Austin and central Texas area.  If you have friends that might be interested, please forward this email to them.

Mark your calendar for the first "2nd Tuesday" Member/Visitor day - Tuesday, March 8.  You're welcome to come out and see the garden and farm, help if you'd like or just have a look around.  Reply to this email if you're interested and we'll be sure to send you the details as March 8 approaches.

We have all the CSA details on our website .  If you have any questions, simply reply to this email to contact us.  Also see our Facebook page for more photos of the recent work on the garden and cattle.  Thanks so much!
