Pasture raised heritage breed pork, a 50/50 mix of heritage breeds Red Wattle and Duroc. We’ve raised Red Wattle for years and love the quality. We’ve heard much about the excellent Duroc and are pleased to offer these for the Spring 2026. Read all the details for our hogs here,
Your $125 deposit will reserve the hog with the balance due when the hog is ready for processing in late February 2026. Total pork cost is $6.50 per pound based on hanging weight. We expect these halves to be between 100 and 170 lbs, a little larger than our typical average weights.
You’ll pay the butcher their processing fees, likely $85-$95 depending on the weight and your processing choices (tenderization, curing, vacuum vs. paper packaging, etc.).
You’ll pickup at the butcher, either at their main shop in Westphalia (15 miles east of Temple) or at their retail meat market in Hutto. They charge an added $25 per hog convenience fee to move it to Hutto. Packaged pork is ready for pickup about 2 weeks after processing begins.
